Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 295134  Size: SH
  1. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the bolt securing the telescoping actuator assembly to the column.

  3. Object Number: 295132  Size: SH
  4. Remove four fasteners securing the telescoping actuator assembly to the steering column.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connection.
  6. Remove the telescoping actuator assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 295132  Size: SH
  1. Connect the telescoping actuator assembly electrical connection and install.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install four bolts securing the telescoping actuator assembly.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the telescoping actuator assembly bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the bolt securing the telescoping actuator assembly to the column.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the telescoping actuator assembly bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  7. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel Guages and Console.
