Was the entire Exterior Lights System Check performed?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON position.
  2. Backprobe the turn signal switch connector C202 with a DMM from cavity C5 (PNK) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 3

Replace the turn signal switch. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Off Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column-Tilt.

Is the turn signal switch replacement complete?

Check the rear junction block IGN 1 Fuse for an open.

Is the IGN 1 Fuse OK?

Go to Step 7

Repair the short to ground in CKT 1039 (PNK). Check all wiring that is fed by the IGN 1 Fuse. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Go to Step 6

Replace the IGN 1 Fuse. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the IGN 1 Fuse replacement complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1039 (PNK) between the rear junction block and the turn signal switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?
