Door Outside Handle Replacement Front

Removal Procedure

  1. Place window in full up position.

  2. Object Number: 334836  Size: SH
  3. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
  5. Remove the front door handle nut.

  6. Object Number: 334832  Size: SH
  7. Remove the rear door handle nut.

  8. Object Number: 291146  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the lock cylinder rod from the door latch (driver's door only).

  10. Object Number: 105412  Size: SH
  11. Disconnect the outside door handle rod (1) by opening the retainer (2) at door latch.

  12. Object Number: 334828  Size: SH
  13. Push up on the handle retention clip and remove the door handle and rods.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 334828  Size: SH
  1. Install the handle by inserting rods through the door opening first
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the outside door handle nuts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  5. Connect the lock cylinder rod to the door latch on the driver's door.

  6. Object Number: 105412  Size: SH
  7. Push the door handle rod (1) up to remove play and install into the clip (2) on the door latch assembly.
  8. Important: Check for the proper operation of the door handle and lock cylinder before installing the water deflector and door trim panel.

  9. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
  10. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement
  11. Check the window and door controls for proper operation.

Door Outside Handle Replacement Rear

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement

  3. Object Number: 105412  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the outside door handle rod (1) by opening the retainer (2).

  5. Object Number: 105439  Size: SH
  6. Remove the two nuts (2).
  7. Remove the door handle (1) from the door.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105439  Size: SH
  1. Install the outside door handle (1) into the door.
  2. Align the studs through the holes in the door .
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the nuts (2).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the outside door handle nuts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).
