Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105326  Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Remove the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear compartment lid wiring harness from the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Wiring Harness Replacement .
  4. With the aid of a helper, remove the bolts (3) retaining the rear compartment lid (1) to the rear compartment lid hinge (2).
  5. With the aid of a helper, remove the rear compartment lid (1) from the vehicle.

  7. Remove the backup lamp. Refer to Backup Lamp Replacement .
  8. Remove the high mounted stoplamp. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement .
  9. Remove the rear compartment lid latch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .
  10. Remove the rear compartment lid lock cylinder. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  11. Remove the rear compartment lid overslam bumpers (2) from the rear compartment lid (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear compartment lid overslam bumpers (2) to the rear compartment lid (1).
  2. Install the rear compartment lid lock cylinder. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  3. Install the rear compartment lid latch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .
  4. Install the high mounted stoplamp. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Replacement .
  5. Install the backup lamp. Refer to Backup Lamp Replacement .
  6. With the aid of a helper, install the rear compartment lid (1) to the vehicle.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. With the aid of a helper, install the bolts (3) to retain the rear compartment lid (1) to the rear compartment lid hinge (2).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m  (18 lb ft).

  10. Install the rear compartment lid wiring harness from the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Wiring Harness Replacement .
  11. Install the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
  12. Close the rear compartment lid.
