Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement .
  2. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  3. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
  4. Remove the front fender to hood seal. Refer to Seal Replacement - Fender to Hood .
  5. Remove the rear outer hood seal. Refer to Hood Rear Seal Replacement .
  6. Remove the front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  7. Remove the front fender sound insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement .
  8. Remove the rocker panel molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement .

    9. Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

  9. Remove the fastener (2) securing the lower front portion of the front fender (1) to the vehicle.

    10. Object Number: 130504 Size: SH
  10. Remove the fasteners (3) securing the lower rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.

    11. Object Number: 130505 Size: SH
  11. Remove the fastener (3) securing the upper rear portion of the front fender (2).

    12. Object Number: 130503 Size: SH
  12. Remove the fasteners (2) securing the upper portion of the front fender (1) to the vehicle.
  13. Remove the front fender (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 130503 Size: SH
  1. Install the front fender (1) to the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the fasteners (2) in order to secure the upper portion of the front fender (1) to the vehicle.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners (2) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the fastener (3) in order to secure the upper rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener (3) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  4. Install the fasteners (3) in order to secure the lower rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners (3) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the fasteners (2) in order to secure the lower front portion of the front fender (1).

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners (2) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  6. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  7. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
  8. Install the front fender to hood seal. Refer to Seal Replacement - Fender to Hood .
  9. Install the rear outer hood seal. Refer to Hood Rear Seal Replacement .
  10. Install the front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  11. Install the front fender sound insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement .
  12. Install the rocker panel molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement .
  13. Install the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
