Inspect the FRONT HVAC Fuse at the Underhood Fuse Block.

Is the fuse operational?

  1. Locate and repair overload. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.
  2. Replace the FRONT HVAC Fuse.

Did you complete the repair?

Using a test lamp backprobe between CKT 340 (ORN) cavity A to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

--

Go to Step  6

Repair open in CKT 340 (ORN).

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

  1. Disconnect the blower motor resistor and relay pack connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between CKT 340 (ORN) cavity A to CKT 350 (BLK) cavity C.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair open in CKT 350 (BLK).

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Turn the heater and A/C control mode switch out of the OFF position.
  3. Turn the fan switch to the HIGH position.
  4. Connect a test lamp between CKT 52 (ORN) cavity B to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Replace the blower motor resistor and relay pack.

Refer to Blower Motor Resistor Replacement in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.

Using a test lamp backprobe from the heater and A/C control module connector C2 CKT 52 (ORN) cavity D to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Repair the open in CKT 52 (ORN).

Replace the heater and A/C control module.
