Important: This diagnostic procedure is for an inoperative LF power window only. The RF window should still operate from both RF and LF power window switches. If these exact conditions do not exist, refer to Symptoms

Did you review power windows operation and perform the necessary inspections?

Go to Step 2

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Check for B+ with DMM from cavities A and E connector C2 of the LF power window master switch to ground while toggling the LF power window switch portion of the master switch.

Is battery voltage present in both switch positions?

B+

Go to Step 4

Replace the LF power window master switch. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Check for continuity in the following circuits;

    • CKT 164 (DK BLU)
    • CKT 165 (BRN)

Are both wires functional?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Repair OPEN/SHORT in one the following circuits;

    • CKT 164 (DK BLU)
    • CKT 165 (BRN)

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 7

Replace the LF power window motor. Power Window Motor Replacement

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
