Important: This diagnostic procedure is for power windows inoperative from the LF power window switch only. The RF window should still operate from the RF power window switch. If these exact conditions do not exist, refer to Symptoms

Did you review power windows operation and perform the necessary inspections?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Remove the power window circuit breaker in the I/P fuse block.
  3. Check for battery voltage with DMM from cavity A2 to ground.

Is battery voltage present?

B+

Go to Step 4

Repair OPEN/SHORT in CKT 75 (DK BLU) between circuit breaker and RAP relay. Refer to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) Schematics

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 11

Check for continuity of circuit breaker with DMM.

Is the circuit breaker functional?

--

Go to Step 6

Replace the power window circuit breaker.

Is the repair complete?

Check for battery voltage with DMM from cavity L connector C1 of the power window master switch to ground.

Is battery voltage present?

B+

Repair OPEN/SHORT in CKT 343 (YEL).

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 11

Check for the following conditions;

    • With DMM, check for continuity of CKT 750 (BLK) between cavity C connector C2 of LF power window master switch and G110
    • Good/tight/clean attachment of G110

Are both items functional?

--

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 9

Repair one/both items as necessary;

    • CKT 750 (BLK) between cavity C connector C2 of LF power window master switch and G110
    • Attachment/replacement of G110 terminal

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 11

Replace LF power window master switch. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement

Is the repair complete?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
