Removal Procedure
- Remove the cover for the front seat shoulder belt to expose the bolt.
- Remove the front seat shoulder belt retaining bolt from the guide adjuster bracket.
- Remove the left front side door lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement - Left Side in Interior Trim.
- Remove the right front side door lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement - Right Side in Interior Trim.
- Remove the two guide adjuster bracket retaining bolts from the pillar.
- Remove the guide adjuster bracket from the pillar.
Installation Procedure
- Install the guide adjuster bracket to the pillar.
- Install the two guide adjuster bracket retaining bolts to the pillar.
- Install the left front side door lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement - Left Side in Interior Trim.
- Install the right front side door lock pillar garnish molding. Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement - Right Side in Interior Trim.
- Install the shoulder belt retaining bolt to the guide adjuster bracket.
- Install the cover for the front seat shoulder belt.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the guide adjuster bracket retaining bolts to the pillar to
20 N·m (15 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the front seat shoulder belt retaining bolt to the guide adjuster
bracket to 53 N·m (39 lb ft).
