Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement
  2. Remove the roof console (if equipped). Refer to Roof Console Replacement .
  3. Remove the front side door opening frame garnish molding. Refer to Side Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  4. Pull the headliner away from the vehicle by separating the fasteners. Remove the front headliner from the vehicle.
  5. Remove the B, C, and D pillar trim. Refer to the following procedures:
  6. •  Third Pillar Trim Replacement - Left Side
    •  Third Pillar Trim Replacement - Right Side
    •  Fourth Pillar Trim Replacement - Left Side
    •  Fourth Pillar Trim Replacement - Right Side
  7. Remove the rear door frame garnish molding.
  8. Remove the rear door frame garnish molding screws.
  9. Remove the upper right seat belt retractor cover.
  10. Remove the right seat belt retractor bolts.
  11. Remove the right seat belt retractor.
  12. Remove the rear overhead lamp screws.
  13. Remove the rear overhead lamp.
  14. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear overhead lamp.
  15. Remove the sliding door track garnish molding screws.
  16. Remove the sliding door track garnish molding.
  17. Remove the rear air conditioning vents.
  18. Remove the coat hooks. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement .
  19. Remove the 2 retainers at the front edge of the rear headliner.

  20. Object Number: 314674  Size: SH
  21. Pull the headliner away from the retainers. Remove the rear headliner from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 314674  Size: SH
  1. Install the rear headliner to the vehicle:
  2. 1.1. Put the headliner into position.
    1.2. Push the headliner against the retainers.
  3. Install the 2 retainers at the front edge of the rear headliner.
  4. Install the coat hooks. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement
  5. Install the rear air conditioning vents.
  6. Install the sliding door track garnish molding.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the sliding door track garnish molding screws.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the sliding door track garnish molding screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  10. Connect the electrical connector to the rear overhead lamp.
  11. Install the rear overhead lamp.
  12. Install the rear overhead lamp screws.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the hear overhead lamp screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  14. Install the right seat belt retractor.
  15. Install the right seat belt retractor bolts.
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the right seat belt retractor bolts to 53 N·m (39 lb ft).

  17. Install the upper right seat belt retractor cover.
  18. Install the rear door frame garnish molding.
  19. Install the rear door frame garnish molding screws.
  20. Tighten
    Tighten the rear door frame garnish molding screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  21. Install the B, C, and D pillar trim. Refer to the following procedures:
  22. •  Third Pillar Trim Replacement - Left Side
    •  Third Pillar Trim Replacement - Right Side
    •  Fourth Pillar Trim Replacement - Left Side
    •  Fourth Pillar Trim Replacement - Right Side
