J 23523-F Crankshaft Balancer Remover and Installer

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to

   Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

2. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
3. Remove the fan. Refer to Fan Clutch Replacement
4. Remove the accessory drive pulley. Refer to Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner Pulley Replacement.
5. Remove the fan shroud assembly. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .



6. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .

Tools Required

1. J 23523-F Crankshaft Balancer Remover and Installer

1. Install the crankshaft balancer.
2. Install the accessory drive pulley. Refer to Accessory Drive Belt Pulley Installation.
3. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer toDrive Belt Replacement .
4. Install the fan. Refer to Fan Clutch Installation.
5. Install the fan shroud assembly Refer to Fan Shroud Upper Installation.
