  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. Do not start the engine.
  2. Disconnect the ALC sensor.
  3. Connect a fused jumper wire from terminal E, CKT 320 (WHT) at the ALC sensor connector to ground.

Does the vehicle lower?

Test CKT 639 (PNK) at the ALC sensor for voltage.

Is battery voltage present?

--

Test CKT 1298 (LT BLU) at terminal C of the ALC sensor for voltage.

Is battery voltage present?

Test CKT 1350 (BLK) at the ALC sensor for an open circuit.

Is an open present in CKT 1350 (BLK)?

Replace the ALC sensor. Refer to Automatic Level Control Sensor and Bracket Replacement .

Test CKT 1840 (ORN) at terminal C of the ALC air compressor for voltage.

Is battery voltage present?

Repair the open in CKT 1840 (ORN) between the ALC air compressor and S474. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Connect a fused jumper wire (backprobe) from terminal B, CKT 320 (WHT) at the ALC air compressor to ground .

Does the vehicle lower?

Repair the open in CKT 320 (WHT) between the ALC air compressor and the ALC sensor.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the air compressor head. Refer to Automatic Level Control Air Compressor Head Replacement .

Repair the open in CKT 639 (PNK) between the ALC sensor and S473. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test CKT 1840 (ORN) at the ALC timer relay for voltage.

Is battery voltage present?
