Important: It is important to identify which Antilock Brake System (ABS) is being diagnosed. If the vehicle is a four-door utility, it can either have an 310 ABS or 325 ABS. Otherwise, the S/T vehicle should be equiped with the 325 ABS. Refer to ABS Description for more details between the two systems.
Begin system diagnosis with Diagnostic System Check . The Diagnostic System Check will provide the following information:
• | Identification of the control module(s) which command the system. |
• | The ability of the control module(s) to communicate through the serial data circuit. |
• | Identification of stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and their status. |
The use of the ABS Diagnostic System Check will identify the correct procedure for diagnosing the system and where the procedure is located.
