Removal Procedure
Notice: When adding coolant, use DEX-COOL® coolant. If silicated coolant
is added to the system, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion
may result. In addition, the engine coolant will require change sooner-at
50 000 km (30,000 mi) or 24 months.
- Drain the radiator to a level below the hose being removed. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Remove the air cleaner and the air intake duct.
- Remove the outlet hose and the clamps from the radiator and the water
outlet.
- Remove the inlet hose and the clamps from the radiator and the
water pump.
Installation Procedure
- Install the inlet hose and the clamps to the radiator and the water
pump.
- Install the outlet hose and the clamps to the radiator and the
water outlet.
- Refill the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
.
- Install the air cleaner and the air intake duct.

- Remove the inlet hose and the clamps from the radiator and the engine coolant
inlet.
- Remove the air cleaner and the air intake duct.
- Remove the outlet hose from the outlet hose support.
- Remove the outlet hose and the clamps from the radiator and the
water pump.
Installation Procedure
- Install the outlet hose and the clamps (2) to the radiator and the water pump.
- Install the outlet hose to the outlet hose support.
- Install the air cleaner and the air intake duct.
- Install the inlet hose and the clamps (1) to the radiator and
the coolant inlet.
- Refill the engine coolant. Refer to
Cooling System Draining and Filling
