Radiator Hose Replacement 5.7L VIN P

Removal Procedure

    Notice: When adding coolant, use DEX-COOL® coolant. If silicated coolant is added to the system, premature engine, heater core or radiator corrosion may result. In addition, the engine coolant will require change sooner-at 50 000 km (30,000 mi) or 24 months.

  1. Drain the radiator to a level below the hose being removed. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the air cleaner and the air intake duct.

  3. Object Number: 11666  Size: SH
  4. Remove the outlet hose and the clamps from the radiator and the water outlet.
  5. Remove the inlet hose and the clamps from the radiator and the water pump.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 11666  Size: SH
  1. Install the inlet hose and the clamps to the radiator and the water pump.
  2. Install the outlet hose and the clamps to the radiator and the water outlet.
  3. Refill the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  4. Install the air cleaner and the air intake duct.

Removal Procedure

  3. Remove the inlet hose and the clamps from the radiator and the engine coolant inlet.
  4. Remove the air cleaner and the air intake duct.
  5. Remove the outlet hose from the outlet hose support.
  6. Remove the outlet hose and the clamps from the radiator and the water pump.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 11688  Size: SH
  1. Install the outlet hose and the clamps (2) to the radiator and the water pump.
  2. Install the outlet hose to the outlet hose support.
  3. Install the air cleaner and the air intake duct.
  4. Install the inlet hose and the clamps (1) to the radiator and the coolant inlet.
  5. Refill the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
