Notice: Twist the spark plug boot one-half turn in order to release the boot. Pull on the spark plug boot only. Do not pull on the spark plug wire or the wire could be damaged.
Important: When replacing spark plug wire harnesses (secondary wiring), route the
wires correctly, and through the proper retainers. Failure to route the wires
properly may lead to the following conditions:
• Radio ignition noise • Cross-firing of the spark plugs • Shorting of the leads to ground
Important: Note the position of the spark plug wires before removing them from the vehicle.

Important: The lower tabs of the heat shield must extend over the hex on the spark plug in order to complete installation of the heat shield and the boot on the spark plug.
