Clutch Will Not Disengage

Check for a pedal restriction. Is the vehicle equipped with the aftermarket floor covering?

Inspect the clutch for a damaged or worn release bearing.

Replace the transmission main drive gear or the driven plate. Ensure that the disc plate runout is no greater than the amount given in the value column. For transmission main drive gear replacement refer to Transmission Removal or to Transmission Removal and to Transmission Disassemble or to Transmission Disassemble in Manual Transmission. For clutch driven plate replacement, refer to Clutch Pressure and Driven Plate Replacement .
