Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

    Notice: Do not allow the metal coils of the blower resistor to become grounded to any metal surface as this may result in internal circuitry damage.


    Object Number: 2000581 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Remove the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement.
  3. Disconnect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connector.
  4. Remove blower motor resistor screws (1) and the blower motor resistor (2) from the auxiliary HVAC module (3).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2000581 Size: SH
  1. Install the blower motor resistor (2) and blower motor resistor screws (1) into the auxiliary HVAC module (3).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the blower motor resistor screws to 12.5 N·m (7.0 lb in).

  2. Connect the auxiliary blower motor resistor electrical connector.
  3. Install the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement.
  4. Connect the vehicle battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
