Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2000587 Size: SH
  1. Remove the auxiliary HVAC module. Refer to Auxiliary HVAC Module Replacement.
  2. Remove the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Replacement.
  3. Remove the presstight tape (1) from the sensor (3).
  4. Remove the retention clip (2) from the sensor (3).

  5. Using a suitable tool, loosen the outlet connection (1) and inlet connection (2), and remove the expansion valve (3).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the expansion valve (3).

    2. Install the outlet connection (1) and inlet connection (2) onto the expansion valve (3).

    Tighten
    Tighten the inlet connection to 135 N·m (100 lb ft).

    Tighten
    Tighten the outlet connection to 225 N·m (166 lb ft).

  2. Install the retention clip (2) onto the sensor (3).
  3. Install the presstight tape (1) onto the sensor (2)
  4. Install the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Replacement.
  5. Install the auxiliary HVAC module. Auxiliary HVAC Module Replacement.
