Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 2000598  Size: SH
  1. Remove the auxiliary HVAC module. Auxiliary HVAC Module Replacement.
  2. Remove the auxiliary HVAC relay. Refer to Auxiliary Blower Motor Relay Replacement.
  3. Remove the blower motor resistor. Refer to Auxiliary Blower Motor Resistor Replacement.
  4. Remove the auxiliary blower motor. Refer to Auxiliary Blower Motor Replacement.
  5. Remove the auxiliary HVAC module case-to-case fastener (1) from the auxiliary HVAC Module (2).
  6. Disengage the nine HVAC case-to-case locking clips (3).
  7. Separate the auxiliary HVAC module upper case (4) from the lower case (5).

  9. Carefully remove the evaporator core (1) from the lower HVAC module case (2).
  10. Remove the thermal expansion valve. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Replacement.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2000585  Size: SH
  1. Install the thermal expansion valve. Refer to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Replacement.
  2. Important: All seals and insulators must be replaced upon re-assembly of the HVAC Module.

  3. Carefully install the evaporator core (1) into the lower HVAC module case (2).
  4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  5. Engage the auxiliary HVAC module upper case (4) to the lower case (5).
  6. Install the auxiliary HVAC module case-to-case fastener (1).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the auxiliary HVAC module case fastener 3.0N·m (26 lb ft).

  8. Engage the nine HVAC case-to-case locking clips (3).
  9. Install the auxiliary blower motor. Refer to Auxiliary Blower Motor Replacement.
  10. Install the blower motor resistor. Refer to Auxiliary Blower Motor Resistor Replacement.
  11. Install the auxiliary HVAC relay. Refer to Auxiliary Blower Motor Relay Replacement.
  12. Install the auxiliary HVAC module. Auxiliary HVAC Module Replacement.
