Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2000599 Size: SH

    Important: When removing the rear quarter trim panel, care must be taken not to over extend the electrical loom and to prevent connector damage.

  1. Disconnect the vehicle battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Partially remove the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement.
  3. Disconnect the auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module electrical connector (1) and the auxiliary HVAC control lighting electrical connector (2) from the rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module (3).
  4. Fully remove the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement.

    5. Object Number: 2000574 Size: SH

    Important: Slight force will be required to remove the rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module trim surround (4) from the rear quarter trim panel.

  5. Remove the rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module trim surround screws (1) from the rear quarter trim panel (2).

    6. Object Number: 2000576 Size: SH
  6. Remove the rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module retainer screws (1), remove the rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module (2) from the trim surround (3).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2000576 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module screws (1), into the rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module (2) and trim surround (3).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module screws to 4.0 N·m (35 lb in).

  2. Install the rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module trim surround screws (1) into the rear quarter trim panel (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module trim surround screws to 4.0 N·m (35 lb in).

  3. Connect the auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module electrical connector (1) and the auxiliary HVAC control lighting electrical connector (2) to the rear auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module (3).
  4. Install the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement.
  5. Connect the vehicle battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
