Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 104514 Size: SH
  1. Remove the oil level indicator.

    2. Object Number: 104516 Size: SH
  2. Remove the nut or bolt that retains the fill tube to the mounting bracket.
  3. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  4. Place a drain pan under the transmission.

    5. Object Number: 104517 Size: SH
  5. Loosen the filler tube from the transmission.
  6. Remove the filler tube seal.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Pull the tube out of the vehicle from the top.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the filler tube through the top of the vehicle.
  2. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.

    3. Object Number: 104517 Size: SH
  3. Install the filler tube seal into the transmission. Lubricate the seal with DEXRON®-IIE, or DEXRON®-III
  4. Install the filler tube into the transmission.
  5. Lower the vehicle.

    6. Object Number: 104516 Size: SH
  6. Install the nut that retains the tube to the mounting bracket.

    7. Object Number: 104514 Size: SH
  7. Install the oil level indicator.
  8. Adjust the oil level.
