Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 104325  Size: SH
  3. Remove the transmission converter cover bolts.

  4. Object Number: 104326  Size: SH
  5. Remove the transmission converter cover.
  6. Mark the relationship of the converter to the flywheel.

  7. Object Number: 104323  Size: SH
  8. Remove the 3 bolts that attach the converter to the flywheel.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 104323  Size: SH
  1. Install the bolts that attach the converter to the flywheel.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 62 N·m (46 lb ft). Re-torque the first bolts after all 3 bolts have been tightened.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the converter cover.

  4. Object Number: 104325  Size: SH
  5. Install the converter cover bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
