Removal Procedure
- Remove the front bucket
seat. Refer to
Seat Replacement
.
- Remove the lumbar knob and the accouter from the driver's seat,
if equipped. Refer to
Front Seat Lumbar Support Replacement
.
- Remove the front bucket seat cushion trim panel screws.
- Remove the front bucket seat cushion trim panel from the recliner
mechanism.
- Remove the front bucket seat recliner bolts (6).
- Remove the front bucket seat back pivot bolt (3).
- Remove the front bucket seat back (1) from the front seat
cushion (5).
If lumbar equipped, route the cable through
the seat cushion (5).
Installation Procedure
- Install the front seat
back (1) to the front seat cushion (5).
If lumbar
equipped, route the cable through the seat cushion (5).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front bucket seat back pivot bolt (3).
Tighten
Tighten the pivot bolt to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
- Install the front bucket seat recliner bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the recliner bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the front bucket seat cushion trim panel to the recliner
mechanism.
- Install the front bucket seat cushion trim panel screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
- Install the lumbar knob and the accouter to the driver's seat,
if equipped. Refer to
Front Seat Lumbar Support Replacement
.
- Install the front seat. Refer to
Seat Replacement
.
