For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove the fuel tank filler cap.
- Install the scan tool. Turn ON the ignition.
- Open the air bleed valve on top of the fuel manager/filter to release any pressure in the fuel supply system.
- Tighten the air bleed valve securely by hand.
- Insert container under water bleed valve.
- Open the water bleed valve.
- Command the fuel lift pump ON briefly with the scan tool.
- Tighten water bleed valve.
- Install fuel tank filler cap.
- Start the engine. If the engine does not start, bleed the air from the fuel system. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement .
