  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. With a scan tool select instrument panel cluster (IPC), special functions, and lamp test.
  3. Command the check engine oil pressure message ON.

Does the check engine oil pressure message turn ON and OFF when commanded?

Go to Engine Oil Pressure Gage Inaccurate or Inoperative

Go to Step 3
