J 41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture

1. Remove the upper and lower shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement - Off Vehicle .



2. Remove two wire harness straps (2). Remove one wire harness straps (2) from the steering column tilt head assembly (1).



3. Pop the wire harness assembly (1 ) out from the wire harness strap (2).



4. Slide the two connectors (2) of the turn signal & multifunction switch assembly out of the ignition & key alarm switch assembly connector (1).



5. Remove the key alarm connector (1) from the lock module assembly (2).



6. Remove the two tapping screws (2) from the ignition & key alarm switch assembly (1).
7. Remove the ignition & key alarm switch assembly (1).

1. Install the ignition & key alarm switch assembly (1).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the two tapping screws (2).

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).




3. Install the key alarm connector (1) to the lock module assembly (2).



4. Slide the two connectors (2) of the turn signal & multifunction switch assembly into the ignition & key alarm switch assembly connector (1).



5. Route the wire harness assembly (1) around the column and put into the wire harness strap (2).



6. Install two wire harness straps (2). Install one wire harness strap (2) into the steering column tilt head assembly (1).

Install the upper and lower shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement - Off Vehicle .
