Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 290877 Size: SH
  1. Open the instrument panel (IP) storage compartment door.
  2. Pry out the push pins from the straps on the IP storage compartment door.

    3. Object Number: 290878 Size: SH
  3. Remove the hinge screws.
  4. Remove the IP storage compartment door.
  5. Remove the latch assembly from the IP storage compartment door. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Replacement .
  6. Pry out the vent assembly from the IP storage compartment door.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 290878 Size: SH
  1. Install the vent assembly to the IP storage compartment door.
  2. Install the latch assembly to the IP storage compartment door. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Replacement .
  3. Install the IP storage compartment door to the hinges with the screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the IP storage compartment door hinge screws to 2.0 N·m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the straps to the IP storage compartment door with the push pins.
  5. Adjust the door striker assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Lock Striker Adjustment .
  6. Close the IP storage compartment door.
