Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 290857 Size: SH
  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the screws from the instrument panel switch plate.
  3. Remove the instrument panel switch plate from the instrument panel.
  4. Disconnect the defogger switch electrical connector.
  5. Press the tabs and remove the switch from the switch plate.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 290857 Size: SH
  1. Install the switch into the switch plate.
  2. Connect the defogger switch electrical connector.
  3. Install the instrument panel switch plate to the instrument panel with the screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the instrument panel switch plate screws to 1 N·m (9 lb in).

  4. Install the instrument panel cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
