Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement.
3. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
4. Remove the I/P upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
5. Lower the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement.

Instrument Panel Retainer Assembly

Tip
Remove the HVAC air ducts.

Instrument Panel Retainer Bolt (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Instrument Panel Retainer Screw (Qty: 17)

Tighten
2.2 N·m (20 lb in)

Instrument Panel Retainer Nut (Qty: 8)

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)
