- Turn the ignition switch to the START position.
- Measure the voltage between the starter solenoid terminal S and
ground.

or disconnect the clutch pedal position switch connector (manual transmission).
- Measure the voltage between the transaxle range switch connector
terminal G (L4 VIN 4) or between connector C1 terminal G (V6 VIN M) and ground
(automatic transmission).
- Measure the voltage between the clutch pedal position switch connector
terminal B and ground (manual transmission).
- Turn the ignition switch to the START position.

- Connect the fused jumper across the transaxle range switch terminals

the clutch pedal position switch terminals A and B (manual transmission).
- Turn the ignition switch to the START position.

- Disconnect the ignition switch connectors C1 and C2.
- Measure the voltage between connector C2 terminal D and ground.
- Measure the voltage between connector C1 terminal B and ground.
