Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  2. Remove the LH I/P lower trim panel. Refer to Section 8C.

  3. Object Number: 14290  Size: SH
  4. Remove the retainer from the clutch pedal position switch rod at the clutch pedal.

  5. Object Number: 14286  Size: SH
  6. Remove the clutch pedal assembly. Refer to Clutch Pedal Replacement .

  7. Object Number: 14292  Size: SH
  8. Remove the clutch pedal position switch electrical connector at the switch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 14292  Size: SH
  1. Install the clutch pedal position switch electrical connector at the switch.

  2. Object Number: 14286  Size: SH
  3. Install the clutch pedal assembly. Refer to Clutch Pedal Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 14290  Size: SH
  5. Install the clutch pedal position switch rod at the clutch pedal. Use the retainer.
  6. Install the LH I/P lower trim panel. Refer to Section 8C.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the cable to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
