Check the clutch release bearing for binding on the transmission bearing retainer.

Is the clutch release bearing binding on the transmission bearing retainer?

  1. Clean and lubricate the affected area.
  2. Check for burrs, nicks, etc.
  3. Replace the components as necessary. Refer to Release Bearing Replacement .

Is the clutch release bearing still noisy?

Inspect the clutch fork assembly in order to ensure that it is properly installed or that the ball stud is not loose.

Is the clutch fork assembly and the ball stud properly installed?

Properly install the clutch fork assembly and the ball stud. Refer to Clutch Fork Assembly Replacement .

Is the clutch release bearing still noisy?

Inspect the clutch actuator cylinder.
