Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Removal in Manual Transmission.
  2. Remove the actuator cylinder to flywheel housing retaining nuts. Refer to Clutch Actuator Cylinder Replacement .
  3. Notice: Do not allow the clutch actuator cylinder to hang by the hydraulic hoses. This may damage the clutch hydraulic hoses.

  4. Move the actuator cylinder aside.

  6. Remove the flywheel housing.

  7. Object Number: 14313  Size: SH
  8. Remove the locking screw from the clutch fork ball stud .

  9. Object Number: 14336  Size: SH
  10. Remove the clutch fork ball stud and clutch fork from the housing.

  11. Object Number: 14337  Size: SH
  12. Remove the clutch fork ball stud from the fork.

Installation Procedure

    Important: Lubricate the ball stud with GM P/N 1052346, or equivalent.

  1. Install the ball stud to the clutch fork.

  2. Object Number: 14336  Size: SH
  3. Install the ball stud and fork assembly to the flywheel housing.
  4. Tighten

    1. Tighten the ball stud to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the ball stud locking screw to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the flywheel housing bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  7. Install the clutch actuator cylinder. Refer to Clutch Actuator Cylinder Replacement .
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  9. Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Installation in Manual Transmission.
