Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 38185 Spring Hose Clamp Pliers


    Object Number: 64027  Size: SH
  1. Remove the radiator upper support. Refer to Radiator Support Replacement .
  2. Raise the vehicle and support. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  3. Object Number: 342481  Size: SH
  4. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  5. Remove the electrical connectors and harness from the fan shroud.

  6. Object Number: 339969  Size: SH
  7. Remove the fan shroud from the radiator.

  8. Object Number: 64024  Size: SH
  9. Remove the radiator inlet and outlet hoses from the radiator.
  10. Remove the automatic transmission cooler lines from the radiator (if equipped).

  11. Object Number: 175435  Size: SH

    Important : It is not necessary to disconnect the air conditioning (A/C) lines from the condenser.

  12. Remove the condenser from the radiator and postion it forward.
  13. Slowly lower the radiator from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 175435  Size: SH
  1. Install the radiator.
  2. Install the condenser into the four retaining tabs on the radiator.
  3. Install the automatic transmission cooler lines to the radiator (if equipped). Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

  4. Object Number: 64024  Size: SH
  5. Install the radiator inlet and outlet hoses to the radiator.

  6. Object Number: 339969  Size: SH
  7. Install the fan shroud into the four retaining tabs on the radiator.

  8. Object Number: 342481  Size: SH
  9. Install the fan motor electrical connectors and harness to the fan shrouds.
  10. Lower the vehicle.

  11. Object Number: 64027  Size: SH
  12. Install the radiator upper support. Refer to Radiator Support Replacement .
  13. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
