Check the CSTR MiniFuse® #19.

Is the fuse open?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 5

  1. Remove the blown fuse.
  2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  3. Using a DMM, measure the resistance from the Instrument Cluster connector terminal A13 to ground.

Is the resistance infinite?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 4

Repair the short to ground in CKT 139.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Brake Warning Indicator System Check

  1. Disconnect the Park Brake switch connector.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between the Park Brake switch connector terminal A and a good ground.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

Is the Brake Warning Indicator ON?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the Park Brake switch.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Brake Warning Indicator System Check

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  2. Using a DMM, check for continuity between the instrument cluster connector terminal A6 and the park brake switch connector terminal A.

Is CKT 33 continuous between these connectors?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 8

Repair the open in CKT 33.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Brake Warning Indicator System Check

Replace the instrument cluster.

Is the repair complete?
