Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 65118  Size: SH
  1. Remove the I/P LH lower closeout panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Disconnect the electrical/audio connector from the Bose® module.

  3. Object Number: 65115  Size: SH

    Important: The module is only held in place by retaining bolts. Be sure to support the module upon removal.

  4. Remove the bolts retaining the Bose® module to the steering column bracket.
  5. Remove the module.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 65115  Size: SH
  1. Install the Bose® module into position on the steering column bracket.
  2. Install the Bose® module retaining bolts.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the Bose® module retaining bolts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Connect the electrical/audio connector to the module.
  5. Install the I/P lower trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
