Low washer Fluid Level Indicator Inoperative

  1. Disconnect the windshield wiper solvent level switch.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal B of the windshield wiper solvent level switch connector and ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 2 ohms

Go to Step 3

  1. Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 150.
  2. If CKT 150 is OK, replace the splice pack #101 (SP101).

Is the repair or replacement complete?

  1. Connect the windshield wiper solvent level switch.
  2. Disconnect the underhood electrical center connector C3.
  3. Move the windshield wiper solvent level switch so that it is in the CLOSED position.
  4. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal C9 of the underhood electrical center connector C3 and ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 2 ohms

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 99.
  2. If CKT 99 is OK, replace the windshield wiper solvent level switch.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect the underhood electrical center connector C3.
  2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  3. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal A4 of the instrument cluster connector and ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 2 ohms

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

  1. Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 99.
  2. If CKT 99 is OK, replace the underhood electrical center.

Is the repair or replacement complete?
