  1. Disconnect the seatbelt switch connector
  2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal B of the seatbelt switch connector and ground.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

Less than 2 ohms

Go to Step 3

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 150.

Is the repair complete?

Connect a fused jumper between terminals A and B of the seatbelt switch connector.

does the seatbelt indicator turn ON?

Replace the seatbelt switch.

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  2. Use the DMM to measure the resistance between terminal A of the seatbelt switch and terminal B2 of the instrument cluster connector.

Is the resistance reading within the specified range?

Less than 2 ohms

Go to Step 7

Locate and repair an open or a high resistance in CKT 238.
