Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 63735 Size: SH
  1. Remove the roof lift off panel. Refer to Roof Lift Off Panel Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 63743 Size: SH
  2. Remove the screws attaching the latch cover.
  3. Grasp the latch cover and pull the cover off.

    4. Object Number: 63744 Size: SH
  4. Remove the bolts attaching the latch.
  5. Remove the latch.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 63744 Size: SH
  1. Position the latch.
  2. Install the latch and attaching bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the roof rear latch bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in). Refer to

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the latch cover and attaching screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the roof rear latch cover screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  4. Install the roof lift off panel. Refer to Roof Lift Off Panel Replacement .
  5. Adjust if necessary. Refer to Roof Lift Off Panel Adjustment .
