Removal Procedure
- Remove the roof panel. Refer to Roof Lift Off Panel Replacement .
- Remove the rear roof bow center interior trim panel. Refer to Rear Roof Bow Trim Panel Replacement in Exterior/Interior Trim.
- Mark the location of the locator bracket.
- Remove the locator bracket mounting bolts.
- Remove the locator and bracket.
- Mark the location of the locator.
- Remove the locator from the bracket.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear locator to the locator bracket.
- Install the bracket with the locator to the roof center bow.
- Install the roof bow center interior trim panel. Refer to Rear Roof Bow Trim Panel Replacement in Exterior/Interior Trim.
- Install the roof lift off panel. Refer to Roof Lift Off Panel Replacement .
- Adjust if necessary. Refer to Roof Lift Off Panel Adjustment .
Tighten
Tighten the roof rear locator to locator bracket bolts to 10 N·m
(89 lb in). Refer to
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Tighten the roof rear locator bracket bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
