Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 71215  Size: SH
  1. Remove the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Power with Adjuster or Manual Seat Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 71223  Size: SH
  3. Remove the reclining handle. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 71221  Size: SH
  5. Remove the side trim panel with power seat switch (if equipped). Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

  6. Object Number: 172293  Size: SH
  7. Remove the seat cushion cover. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .

  8. Object Number: 71219  Size: SH
  9. Remove the hinge pin nuts and the hinge pins.
  10. Lay the seatback down
  11. Remove the cables from the actuators.

  12. Object Number: 71217  Size: SH
  13. Remove the seat from the adjuster (Base Seat only).

  14. Object Number: 171527  Size: SH
  15. Remove the screws attaching the reclining mechanism.
  16. Remove the recliner mechanism.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 171527  Size: SH
  1. Install the recliner mechanism to the seat frame.

  2. Object Number: 71217  Size: SH
  3. Install the seat to the adjuster (Base Seat only).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat to adjuster bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb in).


    Object Number: 71219  Size: SH
  5. Install the cables to the actuators with the cable tabs up.
  6. Install the hinge pins, seatback release cables, and nuts.
  7. Use a tread locking compound on the hinge bolts.

    Tighten
    Tighten the hinge bolt nuts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Install the seat cushion trim cover. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .

  9. Object Number: 71221  Size: SH
  10. Install the side trim panel with power seat switch (if equipped). Refer to Power Seat Switch Replacement .

  11. Object Number: 71223  Size: SH
  12. Install the recliner handle. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Recliner Handle Replacement .

  13. Object Number: 71215  Size: SH
  14. Install the seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Power with Adjuster or Manual Seat Replacement .
