- Lubricate the new O-ring seal (4) with
power steering fluid.
- Install the O-ring seal (4) into the groove in the pressure plate
(3).
- To properly engage the dowel pin with the pressure plate (3),
mark (1) the top of the pressure plate (3) directly over the dowel pin hole
in the plate.
- Install the pressure plate (3).
- Install the two pump ring dowel pins (2).
- Check that the counterbore (2) is facing
the drive shaft end of the housing.
- Install the pump rotor (1).
- Install the ten vanes into the slots in the pump rotor (1).
- Make sure the identification marks (7)
on the pump ring (5) face upward.
