Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the upper intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement.
2. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation hose/pipe/tube. Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement.
3. Remove the charge air cooler coolant hose-pump to cooler Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose Replacement - Pump to Cooler.
4. Remove the charge air cooler coolant house-cooler to radiator Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose Replacement - Cooler to Radiator.

Charge Air Cooler Cover Fastener (Qty: 16)

Caution: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

To access the rear charge air cooler cover bolt you must loosen the front suspension crossmember fastener 3/4 of the way. Refer to Front Suspension Crossmember Replacement.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

1. Disconnect any electrical connectors.
2. Transfer components as necessary.
