Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement LS3, LS7
Removal Procedure
- Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
- Remove the power steering pump pulley. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement.
- Disconnect the power steering pressure hose (2) from the power steering pump (1).
- Disconnect the power steering pressure hose (2) from the steering gear.
- Remove the power steering pressure hose (2) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the power steering pressure hose (2) to the vehicle.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Connect the power steering pressure hose (2) to the power steering gear and tighten the fitting to
27 N·m (20 lb ft).
- Connect the power steering pressure hose (2) to the power steering pump (1) and tighten the fitting to
27 N·m (20 lb ft).
- Install the power steering pump pulley. Refer to
Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement.
- Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
- Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to
Power Steering System Bleeding.
