Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement LS3, LS7

Removal Procedure

  1. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
  2. Remove the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement.

  3. Object Number: 65356  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose (2) from the power steering pump (1).
  5. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose (2) from the steering gear.
  6. Remove the power steering pressure hose (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 65356  Size: SH
  1. Position the power steering pressure hose (2) to the vehicle.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Connect the power steering pressure hose (2) to the power steering gear and tighten the fitting to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).
  4. Connect the power steering pressure hose (2) to the power steering pump (1) and tighten the fitting to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).
  5. Install the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement.
  6. Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans.
  7. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
