Preliminary Procedures Remove left of right side rail weatherstrip and retainer, depending on the side being repaired. Release and fold back the folding top cover from the number one bow. Refer to Folding Top Cover Replacement. Remove the front section of the headliner. Refer to Folding Top Headlining Trim Panel Replacement. Leaving the two outward most screws intact, remove the inboard headliner retaining bracket screws and fold back the headliner.
1	Folding Top Front Latch Handle Screw Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section. Tighten 6 N·m (53 lb in)

Component Name

Release and fold back the folding top cover from the number one bow. Refer to Folding Top Cover Replacement.
Remove the front section of the headliner. Refer to Folding Top Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.

Leaving the two outward most screws intact, remove the inboard headliner retaining bracket screws and fold back the headliner.
