Information on Special Service Tool J44395 - Transmission Holding Fixture Modification

Special Service Tool J 44395 - Transmission Holding Fixture shown above was shipped as an essential tool in 1999 for the T-56 manual transmission in the 1997- current model year Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette and Pontiac Firebird.

Special Service Tool J 44395 can now be used for servicing the TR6060 manual transmission in the 2008 model year Chevrolet Corvette. Two slots must be cut into one side of the J 44395 to allow for clearance of the TR6060 manual transmission. To accomplish this, use a grinding wheel and remove material from the J 44395 as shown in the graphic above. The dimensions shown are in inches.
