1. Ensure the driver's seat belt is unbuckled.
2. Disconnect the seat belt switch.
3. Connect a J 39200 DMM between pigtail A and pigtail B of the seat belt switch.

Is continuity present?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Replace the seat belt switch.

Is the fasten safety belt chime operative?

--

Go to Audible Warnings System Check

Go to Step 4

1. Disconnect the connector at the multi-function alarm module.
2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between the multi-function alarm module connector, cavity A2, and the seat belt switch connector, cavity A, for CKT 238 (BLK/WHT).

Is continuity present?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

Replace the multi-function alarm module. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement .

Is the fasten safety belt chime operative?

--

Go to Audible Warnings System Check

--

Repair the open in CKT 238 (BLK/WHT) between the multi-function alarm module and the seat belt switch.
