Removal Procedure
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the remote control door lock receiver (2).
- Remove the plastic fasteners that retain the remote control door lock receiver (2) to the sound insulation.
- Remove the control door lock receiver from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the remote control door lock receiver to the vehicle.
- Install the plastic fasteners that retain the remote control door lock receiver (2) to the sound insulation.
- Connect the electrical connector to the remote control door lock receiver (2).
- Initiate transmitter programming or reprogramming. Refer to Transmitter Programming , or Transmitter Synchronization .
- Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
Important: If diagnosis requires the testing of the old transmitter or replacement of the old transmitter and/or receiver, programming or reprogramming of the transmitter may be required.
