Preliminary Procedures

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement.
  3. Disconnect the headlamp bulbs electrical connectors.

Lower Mounting Panel Bolts/Screw (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip

    • The lower tab on the headlamp composite locks into the front end mounting panel.
    • Release the tab prior to lifting the headlamp capsule from the mounting panel.

Tighten
4.5 N·m (40 lb in)

Upper Headlamp Mounting Tab (Qty: 2)

Tip
Upon reassembly of the headlamp capsule to the mounting panel, slide the tabs on the capsule up inside the locator holes then position the capsule downward.

Aim the headlamps after installation of a new capsule assembly. Refer to Headlamp Aiming.
