Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement.
2. Remove the HVAC module wiring harness from the HVAC module.

A/C Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) Bolt (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
7 N·m (62 lb in)

Sealing Washer

Procedure

Remove and discard the sealing washers. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement.

Cover Assembly - Heater Screw (Qty: 12)

Procedure

1. Remove the heater core cover heat stakes using a small chisel.
2. Install new screws in the heater core cover.

Screw holes are adjacent to the heat stakes.

Tighten
1.5 N·m (13 lb in)
